Youtube on my tv

Okay, so I hooked up my laptop to my television and set it up as the external monitor. Sigh, YouTube looks so fuzzy in NTSC resolution. Very cool that it works, only needed a few wires to achieve this, should have done it ages ago. I want to watch a few iTunes rentals this way tomorrow, comfy on the couch. But ... wouldn't a high definition t.v. be nice one day, and then you just stream television and movies and websites and trash the satellite or cable provider altogether? This is doable. We're not quite ready yet, but soon.
